Weapons Offense
BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – On Monday, December 18 at 8:40 p.m., police were called to the 2800 block of Highway 95 for a weapons offense.
A married couple, ages 67 & 68, reported that they were in their parked vehicle in the north Walmart parking lot when they heard several gun shots. One bullet went through their front windshield and a back window on their camper shell was also shattered. No injuries were reported.
Officers on scene determined the gun shots came from across the street in the 2700 block of Miracle Mile. A vape smoke shop was open, and officers talked to the employee, Joshua Anthony Rodriguez, 26, to see if he saw anything.
Through further investigation, it was determined that Rodriguez was the one who fired several rounds. Rodriguez later told police that a man came into the store and shoplifted a few items. Rodriguez then followed him outside and fired approximately five rounds in the suspect’s direction as he fled in a red Ford Mustang. The unknown shoplifter was not armed and reportedly did not make any threats.
Rodriguez was arrested for disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal damage. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
