Bullhead City Police MAGNET detectives and Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies arrested John Frank Baxter, 57 of Bullhead City, for transportation of dangerous drugs for sale (methamphetamine).
On Saturday, January 20 at about 7 p.m., MCSO deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding at Highway 95 and Lipan Drive in Fort Mohave. The driver, Baxter, did not have a valid driver’s license. A MCSO K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating that illegal drugs were present. Deputies located drug paraphernalia and two baggies containing a large quantity of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Baxter also had some methamphetamine in his pants pocket.
Bullhead City Police MAGNET detectives were called to the scene to help assist in the narcotics investigation. Approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle. Later that day, MAGNET served a narcotic search warrant into Baxter’s residence in the 1300 block of Lincoln Lane where more drug paraphernalia and approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine was located.
Baxter was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
