Recently, a City of Kingman, AZ Police Department officer arrested a suspect and seized the fentanyl pills pictured here. Usually fentanyl is in powder form or small round blue pills. In this case some of the fentanyl pills were oddly shaped with a “v” stamped.
Fentanyl is an extremely potent synthetic opioid that poses a significant risk to public health. Here are some crucial points to share with your community:
Lethal Doses: Fentanyl is 50-100 times more potent than morphine. A tiny amount can be fatal.
Illicit Drug Supply: Fentanyl is often laced into other drugs, including heroin, cocaine, and counterfeit pills. Users may unknowingly consume it.
Overdose Risk: Fentanyl causes rapid respiratory depression. Even a slight overdose can lead to unconsciousness, respiratory failure, and death.
Narcan (Naloxone): Carry and learn how to use Narcan. It can reverse fentanyl overdoses if administered promptly.
Remember, knowledge saves lives. One dose can kill!
