BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – On March 26 at about 2:20 p.m., Bullhead City Police were called to a stabbing incident that occurred in the Safeway parking lot, 1700 block of Highway 95.
A male victim reported that two men in a pick-up truck started yelling and threatening him as he was walking into the store. Police believe it may have been a possible road rage confrontation.
Gregory R. Capps, 19, and his father, Gregory W. Capps, 53, reportedly got out of the truck and started assaulting the male victim. The victim told police that he got out a knife to defend himself. The 19-year-old was stabbed in the arm. He was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center by Bullhead City Fire paramedics and was later flown to a Las Vegas, NV hospital for further treatment.
After the stabbing, the victim went into the grocery store and asked employees to call police. The father was arrested for threatening and intimidating, assault and disorderly conduct. Charges against 19-year-old Gregory Capps are pending.
Wait, so the 19 year old victim got out a knife and the 53 year old suspect took it away from him and stabbed him in the arm? But the 19 year old son of the suspect was not physically involved? The father is not the father of the 19 year old victim but the 19 year old suspect (who did not go into the store)…. Right? Maybe?
