BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – July 17, 2024 – A short vehicle pursuit led narcotic detectives to about 17,000 fentanyl pills.

Bullhead City Police Department MAGNET (Mohave Area General Narcotic Enforcement Team) Detectives had received information that a group of individuals had transported illegal drugs to Bullhead City from California. Throughout the investigation, narcotic detectives identified the people involved in this drug trafficking organization.

On July 15 at 8 p.m., MAGNET detectives attempted to pull over their vehicle in the 300 block of Meander Drive. The driver – Jonathan Johnkei Ginns, 36 – took off from police at a high rate of speed. Police located the vehicle in the 400 block of Anna Circle. The suspects were contacted at gun point and detained.

Ginns was arrested for unlawful flight from law enforcement and endangerment. Ginns’ girlfriend – Amya Takie Honold, 19 – was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Riverside County, CA for possession of stolen property. She was also arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia. She had approximately 1.7 grams of methamphetamine in her possession.

Detectives then went to the residence connected to the couple in the 200 block of Meander Drive. Once on scene, they saw suspect – Sean Courtley Donaldson, 37 – run out of the residence into the back yard and throw plastic bags over a brick wall. Police seized about 17,000 counterfeit “M-30” pills containing fentanyl. Donaldson was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs for sale and tampering with physical evidence.

All three were booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman. The investigation is still active and additional charges are pending.
