On Saturday, February 22nd, at about 9:15am, the Kingman Police Department responded to a serious injury crash in the 2800blk of E. Andy Devine Ave. involving an SUV and a motorcycle.
The investigation determined that a silver in color Ford Edge, driven by an 83y Kingman man, was eastbound on E. Andy Devine Ave. when he began a left turn, into the path of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 68y Kingman man (not wearing helmet), with a 54y female passenger (wearing helmet).
The motorcycle had been westbound on E. Andy Devine Ave. and had the right-of-way at the time of the collision. The crash caused the motorcycle to strike the curb, ejecting both riders to the ground. Both riders, who sustained serious injuries, were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center, ultimately flown to Sunrise Trauma Center in Las Vegas, both listed in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was not injured. The investigation is ongoing, with charges pending.
