BULLHEAD CITY — A Fort Mohave man is under investigation for driving under the influence after crashing through a fence into a concrete drainage channel on Thursday night.
It was reported by a witness that the Hyundai Tiburon was traveling at excessive speeds northbound on Highway 95 before it struck a curb and crashed into a drainage ditch in the 1500 block of Mohave Drive, said Emily Fromelt, Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman.
The driver of the Hyundai Tiburon, a 35-year-old man from Fort Mohave, was taken to WARMC for his injuries and his blood was drawn as part of a driving under the influence investigation, she said. Charges are pending the blood results.
Emergency crews responded about 9:20 p.m. to reports of the crash.
The man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was able to get himself out of the car, said Bullhead City Fire Btn. Chief Tom Queen. No other injuries were reported.
